In today's virtual reality systems the interaction of the user with the virtual environment is not natural, because interaction with deformable objects is currently not captured properly. For such interaction, special algorithms for handling collision detection and response are needed. In this work a contact model and collision response for thin deformable objects (e.g. textiles) has been developed and implemented.
