Web pages traditionally only allow the on-line manipulation of text items. To enable the web user to use graphics in web pages as a medium for discussion and presentation of concepts an object model is presented that allows the declarative description and in-page construction of composite pictures that can be used like normal images by integrating the delivered interpreter engine. The current implementation relies on a prototype based approach and uses a HTML and Javascript based file format as the descriptor. The open approach furthermore allows the easy implementation of the algorithm in other programming languages and therefore the integration into existing systems.
